To create and secure your account; to take payment and issue invoices; to route each parcel to the right seller and carrier; to handle returns, warranty claims and disputes; to prevent fraud and abuse; to answer support requests; and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to a registered Saudi business, including tax records.
We do not sell your personal data.
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, to remember your cart, language and currency, and to keep checkout secure. A signed-in session lasts up to 24 hours, or up to 90 days if you choose to stay signed in; language and currency preferences persist for a year. Clearing them signs you out and resets those preferences.
Account data is kept while your account is open. Orders, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, even after an account is closed — a closed account is deactivated and hidden rather than erased, because invoices and seller settlements must remain verifiable. Abandoned guest carts are cleared after 30 days.
You can view and correct most of your details yourself in Account → Account Settings, and manage saved addresses in Account → My Addresses. To request a copy of your data, correction of something you cannot edit, closure of your account, or to object to how we use your data, email support@barakasouqs.com from the address on the account. We answer within 30 days, and will tell you if a legal obligation prevents us from deleting a particular record.
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed, and uploaded documents such as warranty evidence are kept in private storage reachable only through short-lived signed links. Access by our staff is limited by role and recorded in an audit trail.
The marketplace is not intended for children under 18. Where a date of birth indicates a minor, age-restricted listings are hidden.
